Aurora lives in a little house with one round window, far in the north at the edge of a snowy forest. She is five, curious about everything, and wears a star clip in her hair. When it twinkles, an adventure begins.

Lumi is a little piece of the northern lights: a ribbon of green and violet light with a voice like a tinkling bell. It has no face and no wings, just light. Lumi gave Aurora her nickname, Aurora Starlight.

Kai lives next door and is up for every adventure, with a snack in every pocket and a big "Whoa!" for everything.

Nana Bea keeps bees in her garden and always has time for one more story. Her garden is one of Aurora's favorite places in the world.

Mama tucks Aurora in at night. She told Aurora that she was named after the most beautiful lights in the whole sky.

Papa loves a night outdoors. When he camps with Aurora under the old oak tree, he falls asleep first, and snores: "Zzz-honk."

Far in the north, at the edge of a snowy forest, stands a little house with one round window. From her bed, Aurora can watch the northern lights dance.

Flowers, strawberries, a big apple tree and the busy beehives: there is always something growing, buzzing or blooming.

A big old tree, a pond, a bench and a slide: the park is where Aurora and Kai run, play and wonder.

Rock pools, shells, waves and mountains on the far shore: the beach is made for exploring.
